Privacy Policy.

How we handle information when you visit this website.

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how Lucent Aperture LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Lucent ("Lucent," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information in connection with the website located at lucentai.agency (the "Website").

This Policy covers only the Website. It does not cover any client engagement, which is governed by a separate written agreement between the client and Lucent Aperture LLC, and it does not cover any future product or service Lucent may offer, which would be described in its own privacy documentation.

2. Summary

In plain terms: the Website has no account system, no newsletter, and no payment collection. It has one form. If you book a call, you enter your name, work email, company, and an optional note about your operation, and that information is sent to Lucent's own scheduling system so we can hold the time and prepare for the call. Apart from that form, you reach us by email or by clicking through to an intake tool operated by another company. Several interactive features on the Website run entirely in your own browser and are never sent to us. We use two analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic, configured to collect as little as reasonably possible, and they never receive what you type. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

3. Information You Provide Directly

The Website has no login or account system and collects no payment information. There is one form on the Website that sends information to us, described immediately below. Everything else is either an off-site handoff or a feature that runs only in your browser.

Booking a call

When you book a call through the scheduling page, you provide your first name, last name, work email address, and company name, and you may optionally add a short free-text note about where your operation slows down. You also select a time and a time zone. When you submit the booking, this information is sent from your browser to Lucent's own scheduling system in order to reserve the time, confirm it with you, and prepare for the conversation.

While you are filling the booking form in, what you have entered so far is held in your browser's session storage so that a refresh does not lose your progress. That copy stays on your device, is cleared when the booking is confirmed or restarted, and is discarded by your browser when you close the tab. See Section 6.

The optional note is a free-text field. Please keep it to a short description of your operation, and see Section 18 on what not to send us.

Off-site handoffs

If you would rather not use the booking form, the Website also offers these routes:

  • A Tally written-brief link, which opens a form hosted at tally.so, where you can describe your situation in more detail.
  • Direct mailto: links to sales@lucentai.agency and support@lucentai.agency. Some pages within the scheduling flow also offer hello@lucentai.agency.
  • A Calendly link, which opens calendly.com. This is a standby only. Booking runs on Lucent Scheduling, described above, and no page currently links to Calendly. It would be used again only if we had to move booking back to it, and in that case you would enter your name, email address, and scheduling details directly with Calendly.

Whatever you submit through Tally or Calendly is received and handled by those providers under their own privacy policies before it reaches us. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message, such as your name, email address, message content, and any business details you share.

4. Interactive Features That Stay in Your Browser

Apart from the booking form described in Section 3, the Website's interactive features run in your browser and do not send what you do to us. Each is described below, including one qualification about how catalog search text appears in a web address.

Interface consultation simulator

This feature accepts a free-text description of your operation. That text is read entirely in your browser. It is not transmitted to Lucent or to any third party, it is not stored anywhere, including on your own device, and it is not sent to analytics. When a consultation settles, the only things saved to your browser's local storage are a generated reference identifier, a date, and non-personal outcome identifiers recording which system areas your description matched.

Systems-catalog search

Text you type into the catalog search box is used to filter the page in your browser. It is not sent to our analytics tools: those record only whether a search returned results and how many results it returned, never the search text itself. One thing to be aware of, because it is how the feature is built rather than something we collect: your search text is placed in the page address in your browser's address bar, so that a filtered view can be shared or survive the Back button. If you then reload the page or share that link, the text travels in the web request like any other part of a web address, and so appears in ordinary server logs (see Section 8). Our analytics tools strip it out before it reaches them.

Contact-page intake console

This feature has no input fields. Clicking its start button saves a generated reference identifier and timestamp to your own browser's local storage, then hands you off to the booking page, Tally, or email, as described in Section 3. No information you have typed is involved. Our analytics does record that the console was started and which of those routes you chose, as one of the limited events described in Section 5.

Lucent OS sandbox demonstration

Our sandbox demonstration runs entirely on built-in sample data. It has no free-text input and nothing you do there is stored. Our analytics records that the demonstration was opened, and which built-in sample scenario was shown.

5. Information Collected Automatically

We use two analytics tools to understand how the Website is used in aggregate. Neither tool is configured to identify you personally.

PostHog

PostHog is a first-party product analytics tool. It is configured to be cookieless, storing its data in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. Automatic event capture is disabled, which is what keeps the booking form out of analytics: PostHog only records a closed set of events we have explicitly defined, such as page views, page-leave timing, calls-to-action clicked, catalog interactions, demo opens, and the steps of the booking flow. For the booking flow this means the fact that a step was reached, or that a booking succeeded or failed and with what error code, never the name, email, company, or note you entered. Session recording is disabled, there are no heatmaps, and PostHog does not capture JavaScript errors. PostHog can build person profiles for visitors it identifies, but the Website never calls its identify function, so no person profiles are created. PostHog honors your browser's Do Not Track signal; when Do Not Track is on, PostHog analytics is fully disabled. The page address PostHog records with an event is stripped down to the origin, the path, and a small allowlist of marketing-attribution parameters (such as utm parameters, click identifiers like gclid, and ref). URL fragments are never captured, which is what keeps the token in a booking-management link out of analytics. Event properties are limited to short identifiers, counts, and true/false values, never names, emails, phone numbers, or free text.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is loaded using Google's standard tagging script from googletagmanager.com. It records page views, with URLs sanitized the same way described above (origin, path, and the attribution allowlist only, never search text). Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies in your browser (see Section 6). Unlike PostHog, Google Analytics is loaded for all visitors and does not respond to the Do Not Track signal. Google processes this data, including IP addresses at the point they reach Google's servers, as a service provider under Google's own terms.

Technical data inherent to web requests

Both analytics providers, and any server that handles a web request, inherently receive certain technical data: your IP address at the network level, general browser and device type, the pages viewed, a sanitized referrer, and approximate timing. This is a byproduct of how the web works, not something we separately collect or store ourselves.

PostHog analytics is additionally disabled for automated or bot traffic, and it stays fully off if its analytics keys are not configured. Google Analytics has no equivalent gating and loads for every visitor, as described above.

6. Cookies and Browser Storage

Lucent's own code does not set any cookies. The only cookies set on the Website are Google Analytics cookies, such as those in the _ga family, which Google Analytics sets in your browser as described in Section 5.

A few pieces of information are also saved in your browser's local storage:

  • PostHog's analytics store, holding an anonymous identifier and a queue of the limited events described in Section 5. To be clear about what this one is: the identifier and those queued events are sent to PostHog, because queuing them for sending is what the store is for.
  • A reference identifier and date from the contact-page intake console, if you have used it. This one stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
  • A reference identifier, date, and non-personal outcome identifiers from the Interface consultation simulator, if you have used it. This one also stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. It never contains the description you typed.

Neither of these local storage entries contains your name, email address, or message content.

The Website also uses your browser's session storage for one purpose: while you are filling in the booking form, it holds what you have entered so far, so that a refresh does not lose your progress. Unlike the entries above, this one does contain the personal information you have typed into that form, including your name, email address, company, and any note you have written. It is stored on your device only. It is removed once the booking is confirmed or you start over, and your browser discards session storage when you close the tab. It is separate from the copy that is sent to us when you actually submit the booking, which is described in Section 3.

The Website's own code does not use IndexedDB.

7. Why We Process Information

We process information described in this Policy to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and communications;
  • Schedule and prepare for calls you request;
  • Evaluate whether working together makes sense for both parties;
  • Understand aggregate Website usage and traffic patterns;
  • Improve the content and structure of the Website; and
  • Protect the Website and its infrastructure from abuse.

8. Service Providers

Before the list of outside providers, one clarification about the booking form. The information you submit there goes to Lucent Scheduling, which Lucent built and operates itself. It is not a third-party booking product, and it is operated by us rather than on our behalf by someone else, so it is not a service provider in the sense used below. Because your browser contacts that system directly, it receives your IP address along with the booking details, in the same way any server receives the IP address of a browser that contacts it.

The following outside service providers process data in connection with the Website, each under its own terms:

  • Google (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager) - page-view and traffic analytics, as described in Section 5.
  • PostHog - first-party product analytics, as described in Section 5.
  • Vercel - hosts and serves the Website. Like any web host or content delivery network, Vercel's infrastructure processes IP addresses and request metadata in its server logs in order to serve pages.
  • Calendly - retained only as a standby booking destination. Because booking runs on Lucent Scheduling, no page currently links to Calendly and it receives no information from visitors to the Website. It would receive booking details only if we moved booking back to it, as described in Section 3.
  • Tally - operates the written-brief form linked from the Website, as described in Section 3.
  • Our email provider - handles the sales@lucentai.agency, support@lucentai.agency, and hello@lucentai.agency mailboxes.

9. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. Information is shared only:

  • With the service providers listed in Section 8, each acting in the role described there;
  • Where required to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lucent, our visitors, or others; and
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of some or all of Lucent Aperture LLC's assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

10. Retention

Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured within Google Analytics and PostHog, respectively; we have not set a separate fixed retention period of our own for that data. Emails and scheduling information are kept for as long as reasonably needed to maintain our business relationship with you and for our legitimate business records. Because retention depends on these providers' configurations and on the nature of a given relationship, we do not state a single fixed retention period here. You can clear your own browser's local storage and cookies at any time, as described in Section 12.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information in connection with the Website. Our primary safeguard is minimal collection: the Website is built so that most of what you do on it never reaches our servers in the first place. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any information.

12. Your Choices

You have several ways to control the information described in this Policy:

  • You can block or clear Google Analytics cookies using your browser's cookie settings.
  • You can enable your browser's Do Not Track signal to disable PostHog analytics. As explained in Section 13, this does not affect Google Analytics.
  • You can clear your browser's local storage at any time to remove PostHog's data and the reference records from the intake console and the consultation simulator.
  • You can clear your browser's session storage, or simply close the tab, to discard a booking form you have partly filled in but not submitted.
  • The booking form's note field is optional, and you can book a call without completing it.
  • You can use email instead of the booking form or Tally if you would rather not share information through them.
  • You can install Google's opt-out browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

13. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Do Not Track. When your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, PostHog analytics is fully disabled on the Website. Google Analytics does not respond to the Do Not Track signal and continues to operate regardless of that setting.

Global Privacy Control. The Website does not currently process Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out request. We are stating this factually rather than as a policy choice: Global Privacy Control is designed as a signal to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information as those terms are defined under certain state privacy laws, and, as described in Section 9, we do not sell or share personal information in that sense.

14. Marketing Communications

We do not currently send marketing emails or operate a newsletter or mailing list. If you contact us, we reply to that specific communication.

15. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy law to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise any such right, email us at support@lucentai.agency, and we will respond to your request. As noted in Section 9, we do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for targeted advertising.

16. Children's Privacy

The Website is intended for businesses and business professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

17. International Visitors

The Website is operated from the United States, and information described in this Policy is processed in the United States. If you are visiting from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

18. Do Not Submit Sensitive or Confidential Information

Please do not submit sensitive personal information, such as health information, financial account numbers, government identification numbers, or login credentials, or confidential business information, through public Website channels. That includes the optional note field on the booking form and any demonstration input field. These channels are not designed for that purpose. Confidential exchanges should take place only under a separate written agreement between you and Lucent Aperture LLC.

19. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Policy on this page with a new effective date.
